Scott is an experienced coach, trainer, consultant and learning facilitator, with 30 years of developing leaders in a vast array of industries, organizations, and environments. He has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Korea, the U.K., Japan and Canada. With a combination of empathetic listening, thought-provoking questions and insightful observation Scott guides clients to better learning, growth, and performance, helping organizations to shape their culture and meet strategic objectives.
While in Japan, Scott served as Director of McGill University’s MBA Japan program for eight years, managing all aspects of the organization including academic issues, quality standards, human resources, recruiting, alumni relations, business community liaisons and finances. He founded and directed his own company, Learning Inc., designing and facilitating learning programs for corporations, universities, and individuals in the form of training programs, study tours and coaching engagements in areas including: Leadership, Management, Organizational Development/Behaviour, Culture, and Change. Scott is also keenly interested in Negotiations and Conflict Management, having taught for 15 years at the Master’s level with McGill University and Rikkyo University in Japan.
Scott holds an MBA from McGill University in Montreal and a BA in Economics from the University of Western Ontario. In addition, Scott is a licensed NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) master practitioner/coach, a qualified CENTACS big five factor personality consultant and has coaching certification in the The Leadership Circle Profile. Scott brings all of this to the benefit of ENGAGE HR clients, and select post-secondary institutions.
